So I can't decide whether or not to go on the CUMC Freshers' meet tomorrow. The issues are that (a) it costs L20, which is almost $40, to do; (b) the weather looks cold (low 50s, complete cloud cover, windy, chance of light precipitation); (c) the crag itself, Birchen, doesn't exactly come very highly recommended (partly because of its gong show reputation); (d) it will take a very long time to get there because we're going on a bus; and (e) there are going to be about 50 freshers and 20 more older CUMC members, meaning that there will be about as many people as routes on the whole crag, which is apparently popular for whatever reason, and the Brits tend to cram their routes very close together. Oh, and I just found this.
So I feel like if I do go, I will end up feeling pretty wasteful and miserable. But if I don't go, I will feel guilty for missing out on what will certainly be an adventure.
What should I doooo???
