So today I had Family Law and Intellectual Property. During Family Law, we went over logistics more than anything else, and the class was very small. There were only 5 of us there (3 of us from Darwin), and several of us weren't 100% sure whether we would take it. However, the meeting was at Christ's College rather than in the Law Faculty, and we think this may have derailed some people who were planning on coming. If it drops below 2 or 3 people, the course won't be offered, so I'm certainly going to pay attention in some of my other options as well. This course has three lecturers for it, but apparently one remembered an economics course in the past that had five lecturers and two students, so we're not doing too poorly. When we entered the room, which basically had just a table in the center, the lecturers immediately produced tea and cookies ("biscuits") and began passing those out. So that took a solid 10-15 minutes.
Then, in the afternoon, I had IP, which involved an hour of logistics followed by an hour of basic discussion. I would have used my laptop in that class, but there was no plugs in the wall. None. Like, I examined the walls all around the room. You would think that a room could have one plug in it, right? No. But that class should be good, too.
Tomorrow I'm sitting in on Law of the WTO. Then I have a library tour tomorrow night. Then possibly I could go to a small bouldering wall (like just a woodie I think) constructed at Jesus College, but I think that might conflict with dinner that I might be having with the Irish girls in my house -- unclear. Then Saturday night I have the "bop" at Darwin, and Sunday I am most likely going to Stanage in the Peak District to climb with CUMC if the weather is good. If the weather is less good, I may cycle to the nearby town of Ely with people in my house, but I don't know if that is actually happening.
