Today we had an interesting thing where every lecturer for the law courses came and spoke to all the LL.M.s about their subjects for 10 minutes. I didn't sit in for absolutely every one, but I sat in for a big majority of them, and for everything I was remotely interested in. So I have three courses I want to take: Intellectual Property, International Intellectual Property Law, and the Law and Practice of Civil Liberties. (The links are to last year's course descriptions, so they may have changed somewhat.)
My fourth course, though, is a wild card. I'm considering Criminal Justice: Players and Processes, International Environmental Law, The Law of the World Trade Organization, History of English Civil and Criminal Law, and Comparative Family Law and Policy. I wasn't actually planning on the Family Law one, but I was surprised how interesting it sounded. Meanwhile, the Criminal Justice one and the Law of the WTO one are offered on Monday and Friday, respectively, which moves them down my potential list because I need long weekends for gallivanting. (Everything else, both definites and possibles, are on T-W-Th.) So I haven't quite decided, but I'm leaning toward Family Law. Thoughts?
Lectures start on Thursday, but I can go to more than 4 at first while I narrow it down. But I'm also refusing to go to like 7 in a week.
